San Antonio Missions

Hi Y'all,

For those who may not know, San Antonio has many different missions from the time the Spanish occupied Tejas, which then was known as New Spain. I went to the four main missions: Concepcion, San Juan, San Jose and Espada.

Here is a slide show for you to enjoy.

When i was a little fella I was a big history buff. On a family trip to SA i can remember being mad cause the "first day" was spent visiting the other missions. Then we got to go see the alamo the second day.
What I can remember very clearly is how authentic and historic Concepcion, San Jose & San Juan felt and looked. While the Alamo was a over glorifyed tourist trap. While I wouldnt dare deny the importance of the alamo in Texas(world) history,Ill say they really goofed when it came to the preservation & reproduction of the modern alamo. Very,Very little of the modern "compound" was historicly correct.
