Severe weather watch tonight!

Just checked the NOAA / NWS web site. Heavy t-storms with all the not-so-goodies are moving through Central Texas right now, sweeping down towards San Antonio.

While no alerts have been issued at this time for SA, watches and warnings are in effect for the Austin area, north to Dallas. Marble Falls is being pounded at this time.

Current radar shows significant rains running NW->SE all throughout the Capital District, points south and north.

THERE WILL BE NO ALERTS ADDED TO THIS THREAD, UNLESS THUNDER DISRUPTS ME. PLEASE BE MINDFUL. I WILL UPDATE FURTHER SHOULD A WEATHER ALERT COME ACROSS THE WIRE.

Last word for the night. Storms approaching. Heavy lightning. Disconnecting to protect computers.

Please tune into the Weather Channel or to NOAA for further updates. In all likelihood, the weather alerts will be upgraded to a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING. Please take all appropriate measures to ensure your safety.

God bless!

Manny

I've been trying to find out how much rain fell in the San Antonio area. I haven't had any success other than to see that SAWS reported that the Aquifer filled 9". However, it was not disclosed whether that was from rainfall or if that was from the recharge zones reserves purposely being pumped in to avoid Stage 3 Restrictions.

The forecast for the next few days in SA is for thunderstorms. As always, I will post up if any severe weather advisory, watch or warning gets posted.

This should close out this thread as the advisories and watch box has been closed by the NWS in Austin.
