Some one stole my junk,

How about a section for stolen goods? We all troll the other boards and classifieds for deals, but how much of it is stolen? It would help everyone out if they had a board to discuss parts and or vehicles they have had stolen from them recently. It would help recover vehicles, and put black marks on suspected thieves and near do wells.

Alot of us are spread out over a very large area, and I think everybit would help, especially if someone stole your ****.

Just an idea, I seen it on timbercrawler, and they have actually found some of the vehicles and caught people who were thieving.

Mitch, nothing has been stolen but take this for example, you are in Mansfield I am in Houston. Someone drives off with your trailer and your rig. You would tell everyone here, "hey someone stole my junk, it's a BTF decked with deuce and a halfs 54" boggers, here is a list of the parts used, and here's a pic", in this instance everyone on this board will know what your rig looks like, and if we see it on the trails, or come across boards where someone is selling parts that look an awful lot like the ones you had fabbed up yourself, we know who has your gear, and can contact the authorities. Thereby not limiting the search are to just your specific location.

There is an instance of this on Timbercrawler where a guy had his truck swiped and he tracked the people down who had stole it just by getting the word out. Not only did he get his truck back, but he popted pictures of the guys whole stole it and chopped it for parts.

Definately

How many people on this board are sick just at the thought of someone taking their junk?
Or worse,
The tools that we have bought and worked for to build this junk.
I keep my stuff under triple lock and key, and most of us would have no problem helping someone with a trip to the emergency room for trying or touching our tools and rigs.
a suggestion to anyone with an investment into tools and rig(s), take photo's of everything, and keep all the serial numbers. Scribe your name or symbol into your junk.
make sure your insurance agent knows that you have an above average collection of junk and tools.
Thats one of the worst feelings I have ever felt. Knowing that some pos got into my shop or house or vehicle and took something.
Pisses me off just thinking about it.
