traveling carriers

Dear Tx4x4 got to tell you I love the board met alot of great people. Now the mushy stuff is over back to buisness.
Is there anyway to set up a sticky or whatever they call them in the classifieds for transporting sold or bought items. I know this isn't the main function of the board, its just that so many of us live across Texas Austin Brenham Corpus Mansfield Dallas Houston Beaumont if there was a spot for us to post we were traveling to or from it would really help alot of us get alot of the stuff we need that we pass up on just because it is so far. On a side note I know it should be mentioned be sure you know the person your dealing with and that the board is in no way responsable, not trying to push anything just a idea.

I think its a good idea. I am sure most people on here are willing to carry some extra stuff for someone else.

This is a system I have used several times. With todays technology and living
in bum ---- Egypt have developed a group that serves us well.
Just within the last year I've bought dirt bikes in Ok.Ark.,and Houston and a
jeep in Austin all were looked at or picked up by friends previous to buying saving me hundreds in fuel. With pay pal, credit cards, bank transfers and good ol
hey Bro. I'll pay you when you get here transactions go smooth.
It is not run to Wal-Mart but with todays fuel prices we may all soon get out of our I need it Right NOW attitude.

I myself and many on here usually just post that we are traveling and willing to help others out. That has worked in the past. Usually most will ask for nothing or just some money.

Case in point bought set of tires off this site today $20 delivery to turkey run
saves me 6 hours driving time at least $50 fuel and battling San Antonio
traffic.
He sell his tires and help pay his gas or refreshment fees for a run he's making anyways.

I always post up when I make trips, but it would be nice to have it's own thread or forum or whatever it's called. Otherwise it gets posted where ever. I vote for it.

That sounds like a great idea. As most of yall know I travel from North of Dallas to Houston every two weeks and I am more than willing to help carrying something for someone - especially now that I have a truck. All ya gotta do is ask. But the sticky thread sounds like a great idea.
