Yeah, but I wish the canadians would learn to type. or is that what the local accent sounds like? I've made 3 buys from one in Houston, 1 time there was an oops. they took 2 days to send the right part when the mistake was brought to their attention. not too shabby, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. spankn
I have bought Warn Premium hubs from 4WPW and had to send broken ones back several times, each time getting a replacement set with 4WPW paying the return shipping. This was the Dallas store.
Have gone into the Dallas store a couple of times with Stretch and his friend Doug helped us out and he treated us like gold.
Now the ADMIN comment in the above link was not necessary at all and I am sure it will cost him. There are a lot of my friends on this board who get a cussin and called names and call me names when we are joking around but when it comes to business, name calling should be left out of it and the customer should get treated like he or she is your bread and butter because they are.
Have heard the pitman arm issue for about 6 months now, even saw it in print in one of the 4x4 mags but does that make it true? The facts as reported by reputable journalists suggest it is so we will see if there is ever a court rule on the whole mess. The strap issue, I would tend to believe the buyers side of that story especially since it happened more than once. The sad thing is 4WPW is such a huge chain that it is hard to belive this is a company wide policy but then again look at WorldCom. I am still smarting to the tune of $9,000 from them not paying us phone sales commissions.
Maybe the owners will get together on the issues and straighten things out and if not the buying public rules in the end.
I would suggest getting everything in writing especially warranties and return policies. On tire warranties check them closely because usually you get a deal like "the tire will be replaced at a pro rated rate unless tread below 50% remains at which time a new tire will be mounted at regular price" blah blah blah meaning in the end that 50K replacement warranty is going to cost you big bucks in the end.
the Texas arnt the norm(MUCH BETTER) I work real hard there to overcome the bad rep .... somethings never change ... S.A. and Dallas have the best crew to help people , Larry ,Scott and Chris are good guys ... and Doug in Dallas is just plan amazing
