Yes it is possibleto convert a 60 or 70 to add rear stear. However I think that this will creat a weak link out of a spot that usually goes without issues. When climbing all of the weight of your rig is on the rear,it puts lots of stress on the axles and u-joints. I have only broken one rear axle in my whole history of wheelin, 10+ years. I have seen quite a few rear stear sets break axles.

I know that the guys at Wagoner Machine are working on a 60 with rockwell inners and u-joints for mega beef.
I think that rear stear is very very cool,however I can get my rig pretty much anywhere the rear stear will. Just my .02

Yes, but it would be mega cool! Tell us more about the 2.5 ton D60!
