We basically helped fill out the grant at the meeting
The Grant gets submitted in June
We know if it's approved by October
It's awarded in December
They start building park infrastructure in January

Laura:
Did the full 400 or so acres get approved by the city council?
Is the park board going to get some portapotties out there and get the park open for day use?

The portapotties is a good idea. BUT. There has to be a way to get them emptied out every so often. And im sure it would be hard for the porta companies to get out there to eigther drain them or swap them out. Good idea, but there needs to be a way to service them.

A Honda Civic could get to the center of the property; the access roads are that good. Some chemical toilets along the main road would be easy to service.

it's more like 300 acres from what the city said
And unless we convince them otherwise...I don't think they will do anything until they have grant money available.
