Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have to ask. Would there be any problem going from 8 lug rotors to a 6 lug rotor on a mid 70's chevy D44. i was told it was a big hub 44. And it got me worried a bit.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys.

As long as you get everything from the spindle outward, including stubshafts, you shouldnt have any problems.

I have a 77 model D44 in my Blazer right now (72 Blazer). But the spiders were welded and the ring and pinion are shattered. So I have been on the hunt for a 4.09 front 44 for weeks now. No one has one. I need it to be complete and ready to go.

Then I found this 8 lug that is ready to go. All it is missing is the lock outs. But I have never converted to six lug. Would I basically just remove my Six lug spindles and bolt them onto the Axle houseing in place of the 8 Lug?

thanks for the help.

You may need to swap out the spindles because of bearing size but the rotor, hub, and backing plate are what you need to go 6-lug.
