can you machine down a dually dana 60 (front axle) to a single wheel

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. I thought all front axle where single wheel. Add a little more info. please.
a dually dana 60 is wider where the wheels bolt up to.
Just leave it as is and run hummer beadlocks.

thanks to all for the help, i'm just getting into this project & anymore advice would very helpful!
been surfing the net & found a set of wheels but they are 16.5 x 8.25. i want to run 44's. these wheels are not wide enough are they?
Depends on the width of the tires. I'm running some 35x12.50s on factory 6.5" wheels right now.
