Alright guys, i'm in a pretty bad situation here, and I wondered if anyone could help. Does anyone know where I can look up a pre-1980 vin number? I've tried all the websites, and can't find any. I didn't know if there were any insurance agents on here or anyone that has access to the resources. I need help pretty fast....so let me know if you have anything.

I just tried both of those, but they don't do VIN numbers before 1981. Mine is a '73. I basically need to know what comes up when they search for this VIN number at like an insurance company, and who's car it belongs to.

for that info, you will have to go to the DMV I suspect.
