If it weren't so late I'd say go to the strand. There's not too much for the kids down there anyways.
If you have time tomorrow bring them to the pleasure pier.... It's kind of pricey though....
I'm not sure on the beach part.....
This was the wifes screwy idea, looks alot moreadult stuff to do, & "beach" dont look right. Went to kemah, then legofest in houston, then galveston(why???)
If you go to main street that runs parallel to the beach, pass the pleasure pier. Continue west on main street, pass all the tourist places then pass the mini golf place. Continue west as you just get out of town, on the left hand side you will see a large wooden restaurant with a huge patio. Forgot the name. Cant miss it though. As soon as you pass that, you can enter any one of those beach communities on the left. The beaches are always clean and few people on them.
At night you have sand crabs galore. Tons of fun to chase and catch. The kids love it
We stay there every summer. If you get out of tourist town, it's cheap and great!!
