I think new rules on this VBB Board for Classifieds should be:

"NO Commercial Ads
NO Group Buys
NO E-bay Ads
NO Cross Posting

Include a price and location of the item being sold.
NO Location AND Price = Post DELETED.
For best results include contact info, and if possible a photo. Once your item has been sold please edit your post to indicate it's been sold."

I think this will cut down on alot of problems & help Texas4x4.org more.

why do you think that? this sounds almost like a cut and paste from pirate.
what problems do you see? most do post up when their item is sold. some might say that having several items for sale at once in different posts is also annoying, but there are those that do it (i know i do)

Why are these so bad? It could help someone get a good deal or find something they have been looking for.

i don't understand why the 1 more month. we could be real jerks about it and not even let you post for sale unless you were a donating member. i don't know if this forum has been beneficial to you, but i know you have posted quite a bit for sale.

On the ebay thing. I don't usually check those out unless I have a bud looking for whatever it is there.


On the group buy thing. If somebody here finds a good deal and I want what ever it is then I'd like to hear about it.

I like the classified section and do not mind links to eBay or whatever. If I have personal items for sale they will go in the appropriate classified section and if I have commercial items they get listed in that area.
If a member is using the classifieds section as an outlet to continually sell stuff and does not bother to otherwise support the board then I feel Rastus should have the right to make whatever decision he feels is right about the member. The excuse of no money for a donation will not fly if you are a member selling $100 worth of stuff in the classifieds section every week. Take $25 of that and become a donating member. This only seems fair to other donating members who are doing their part to support this site finacially.
Nothing in life is really free. There are costs to operate this or any BB and it can get pretty expensive. my .02 worth.
