I had a firestick for a few years. Good antenna. What's the difference in it and the K-40?

The K40 is a little thinner and the version I stock has the tunable tip and the FireStik version I stock does not have the tunable tip because in my experience the FireStik tunable tip makes very little difference in VSWR. They are both excellent antennas and most of the time even with a small ground plane under them they will tune in at less than 1.5:1 VSWR
I stock the 4' version of both because it is a good overall length and they radiate very well being top loaders.
A top loaded 1/4 wave antenna radiates almost as well as a 108" SS whip and they do not get caught on near so many trees and bang on lights etc.
