Is anyone actually close to finishing there rig??? I'm not, still need beadlocks, sway a way air shocks for the rear, tracker engine, high flow steering pump with ext. reservoir, chromoly shafts front and rear, ctm's, 8:1's, redo the front tube clip, brace the front of cage to the frame and finish the gusseting, nice racing seats with new more comfy harnesses and maybe 40" Krawlers.

That would keep my happy for awhile I think.

Well after getting the body back on the chassis of the jeepster, I sure would like to start working on it again. The M880 is almost done  but I'm about to loose my Dad's shop. I think I might start looking for a place to rent out so I can still work on the Jeepster.

i am taking the 87 cherokee to nocona, the 91 cherokee is still broke from last time, the rest of the stuff is still down, but...

hopefully when i sell some off, first thing to fix is the 86 blazer and put the 3:1 wms transfer in it along with some 6.17's in the axles
put a dana 44 out of a wagoneer in the rear of the 91 xj
lift the m1008 and run my 37's on it
and i am still undecided on the 88 k5 on what to do

I still have a long ways to go. I'm happy with my suspension and axles. I need shocks, I would love to move up to 44's, propane, cage, maybe something on my transfer case( klune or a atlas) First of all I need a transmission.

Rigs are never finished. They may be close but then you break something or you come across a great deal on something and start redoing everything. We men are never happy with what we have.......LOL Differance between men and boys are the price of the toys. Always something nicer we need or want. Just ask the wife's.

I think mine are all finished, because I think I am all but finished. Life begins at sixty is a bald face lie. It all but ends at fifty would be closer to the truth.

I might just be saying that, I'm not sure. fightte I'm not sure which side of my face is talking, but enjoy all this stuff while you still have the energy. I think Stretch is on the right track. He will never reach perfection, but he will reach a lot higher plateau. bigok

The argument is in the other thread. I was just wondering who was nearly finished with there rig is all. But we can argue if you want to. BTW, I never made a blatant stab at fullsize rigs, but I can if that is how we want to play it.

Never happen! You will never finish it. When you move on or sell it, you will still be thinking, "What if....?" It may be perfect to someone else, but you are one of those cursed people that can not shut off their creative juices. I wager that you have thought of (at least) three more things you will look into since you started this thread. A zuk in Kilgore with military axles has a 454 (same as what's in my 34' motorhome) and I was told that he is going to 49" tires. Never even heard of such (49's), but you are still considering a V6. You are looking at years, not weeks. Good luck and I am always wrong. popcornn

I need to...

Finish the bob job( or botch job) of the front of the frame.
Mount the front Dana 60 under the new front bobbed frame.
Mount the Klune-V.
Mount the transfer case.
Fill everything with fresh fluids.
Bleed the brakes.
Build new drive shafts to match the Klune-V.
Do a roll cage.
Do a propane carb conversion.
All the above with the possible exception of propane are must do items before another wheeling trip.

There are several other items I can dream of doing so it will never be finished but close to finished is in the near future.
