hey, fellas an' dames------staff members for the crrc need YOUR input---
we are considering a possible bonus course to add to the three courses in place----we need ideas for a SERIOUSLY nasty trail, i.e. "WINCH REQUIRED"
type stuff for the participants who wish to turn up the pucker factor!!!!
got any suggestions?!?!?!

what are these courses gonna be like? All rock? or a mix of mud and sand obsticle course? I mean their really isn't alot of rock out their, mainly loose hill climbs.

I have seen the courses and they are mostly rock, or atleast the challenging part is. the three courses are really short but should be fun for everyone, the hard part is finding a course the stock jeep on 35s can make while still being fun for the guys that are locked with 44s. And while these trails most of you may have seen or been on, it sure will be fun watching guys beat the snot out of there rigs one after another.

the courses thus far are a mix of rocks, loose dirt/gravel and some steep ledges---#1 is approx. 20 yrds start to finish with a handfull of good step-ledges and rocks, anywhere from basketball size to large boulders(tall as a 44 inch tire)#2 is a loose red dirt and shale climb, with a fairly steep incline and several ledges, but a short crawl, apprx. 30-40' botom to top.#3 will be split into two sections-section one is for stock class with a large dirt berm at the start followed by a medium grade up-slope filled with large piled granite. near the mid point is a steep right turn that is pretty loose dirt/small rock. at that point the stock rigs will hang a right and be finished. the super stocks and mod classes, however will proceed left and up at the mid point. the section that follows will probably be the most challenging and exciting. it is steep, with really large rocks, huge ledges and loose dirt/rock. there is also a spot we call "can opener"-a narrow spot with a 5 or 6' out cropping and drop-off on the left and a 8 or 9' cliff/ledge on right, with a deep cut between the rocks--basically expect sheet metal damage for full size rigs and possible driveline damage for rigs shod with smaller tires. the trail is approx. 100 yrds. start to finish.
all of the above are doable without a winch, BUT drivers must choose their lines carfully and watch your spotter!

my utmost apologies to all for the lack of listing the correct link in my original post---i am unfortunately still rather new to the whole "on-line"/"technology
thing, which is also why i didn't have the crrc event info posted sooner.
forgive the newbie, people, i'm doing my best to get caught up with the computer stuff, k !?!

I might make it out. I might try to get my Blazer out to just mess around. Are there very many that are going to be playing after the runs?

I got permission to go out this weekend. Wifey may sell all of my posessions at her garage sale, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. I'll be up if I can get a ride along.

Yea, I'll be out there to test and tune alittle bit.

And,, I'll say it,, as you are walking out the door to head to the river,,,,,,,,,

Make sure you remember the PHOTO DEVICE!!!!!

what ever the device,, remeber the film and the deveice so we can get some good pic's of this. There is bound to be some carnage.

Camera, video camera, digital camera, someone to take the photos, ect..........
