Colorado trip

Well I'm still up here, but I figured I would take advantage of the high speed. (god I really hate my dial up now!)

Slowrockr and I hit up Kelly flats and Carnage Canyon today. What a great set of trails.

Rest of the pics here http://www.texas4x4.org/gallery/album604?page=1

There are a few race pics as well.

And yes I know there are craprocks on my jeep now. I got up here and my tires took a dump on me and I had to buy new ones. They were to only ones they had in a size close to what I needed.

Great! I'll be taking the jeep up there next month. What part of the state are you in? Are the trails clear of snow?

Yea he drove the jeep up. I have to give Snick props, he didn't hesitate to follow the buggy. He tried just about every line we took, even though he still has to drive it 13 hours home.

Good to hear. We'll be camping in Ouray for a few sight seeing days then heading over to Montrose to do some real wheeling most likely. That's what we did last year and it worked out well.

Dang -- making me jealous !! We were there last year -- it is awesome. But I did hear that the trails are not that cleared off around there dont know I just saw a pic of a Jeep on Yankee Boy Basin and the snow was piled up on the sides about 2 ft above the top of the jeep.

Well I just got home, tired as all get out, and trying to find some ice to make a drink.

It was an awsome trip and I can't wait to do it again.

Special thanks to Lorie and Jason for all their hospitality y'all rock.

I guess they don't want people diving into the river. Kind of funny when you can see the rope in the upper right of the pic.

No the one your thinking about was the "Hard Taco" that was on the cover of crawl. Jason had this chassie costom built for him. I got to meet Joey (Hazardous concepts) at the race. The hard taco was his old rig. His new one is one of the sickist rigs I have seen. He brought it out and the paint was barely dry.

If your looking to buy a chassie I would definatly talk to him. He doesn't do cookie cutter rigs each one is built to the customers specs. And after seeing first hand the abuse they can take I'm thinking about scraping all the junk I have and getting one to build up. Minus the yota skins. lol

it used to be a single seat comp buggy. some tubework around the seats had to be redone for 2 seats to fit. they also made a sweet new dash. i met the guy from OTC at k-rocks. he has a pretty sick s10 too.
