K-ROCK April 4th

I had a great time today.
Razorback, George, YJ95(I think) and myself headed out for trail riding. After all the wifes were among us. Although, Maria bailed out at the last minute. But it's ok. All was not lost.
We headed toward Aggie HWY and we were in and out of that trail hitting stuff in between. A few close calls...We did have a Toyota break his studs off his Knuckle. So, him and his buddy went back to camp for parts. We pressed on.
It was cool to see that little Zuki wheel around. George was making it look easy...or hard. LOL Fun never the less.
John out on Aggie Hwy.

Yvette (Johns wife) riding shot Gun.
From their We headed to the water fall. I have a few pics of John but it was Crazy having George needing a winch to help him get out of the crack. He was stuck bad.
For Myself Prior to getting their I almost laid it on its side. Sorry, no pics but I think Georges wife was taking some.
John was getting on it up to that point. K-Rock has signed its name on his truck.....mine too. lol
"to be continued"

John flexing that stock sup. a little.
John 3 Wheeling it.
From their we went to the Comp area and played around a little. I had to make some repairs to my fuel line. Thanks John for the fuel hose.
poser shot.
From here we did Cotton bails I think. John had a little electrical problem. But after a good battery terminal cleaning we were on our way. And that is where I did pick up most of my body damage. On our way back to camp.
All in all I had a great time. For our Trail guide. and I apologize for forgetting your name. Thanks.

What a day. Yvette and I had a blast. Pushed the limits of my rig giving direction for further modification. Gave that newly installed Aussie locker a workout. Man it was sweet. What a difference. My only regret at the end of the day was that K-rocks wont be their to test the limits of future mods. Im glad I at least got to hit it once. Mike thanks for your help on the trail and at camp. Great trail guide and spotters. Im bad with names but you know who you are..thanks. Wish I could have stayed to it up but had to head back.

Man what a weekend. I'm really hate to see this place go since I think it's some of the best wheelin we have in TX. I had a hell of a time even though the PIG let me down in a few spots. It was nice putting some faces with all the screen names and wheelin with you all. The Amarillo guys that showed up where a great group of guys that knew how to wheel hard. Same goes with all the guys in our group on Sat.

We started off on Looney Tunes II which claimed it's fair share of rigs (Included the PIG). I got in a tight spot and ended up KOin my rear steering ram. Turning the PIG with out rear steer is nearly impossible when you don't have any room. I knew my ram was in a bad spot and I also needed a reason to rework my rear steer set up. I limped around until I was able to get my rear steer to stay centered and then I rejoined the group on Hell and Back. They named that trail right that's for sure. Once again I broke and got wedged in so tight my winch would not pull me through. Thx to all the guys that help me out and a big thx to River Rat for giving me a pull. This is the first trip the old PIG has ever let me down but Krocks is hard on all rigs.

I've got to say Mitch put the smack down on every thing he ran. I don't think the yota will ever be the same. Also putting on a good show all day was Awesome Bill in his crazy sick Ftoy. Makes me want one now!!!!

now for the pics.

Hell and Back

All of these pics are from Hell and Back. All the guys made the first huge obstacle looks easy until I gave it a go. lol For some stupid reason I stopped while on top of the rocks and then tried backing up. My front driveshaft decided it didn't want to play any more and dropped out.

I took the time to show everyone how not to do it.

At least I did get to leave my mark on the rocks. It took some time be we finally got the old fat girl unstuck and back on all fours. I think the PIG needs to go on a freakin diet. lol

Krocks 052.jpg

This guy wanted to show us how not to run the water fall. for a almost stock XZ this thing did great out at Krocks. All little pull from the PIG and he was back on his way.

Krocks 058.jpg

All in all I had a great weekend and can only hope I get to go back to Krocks before they close the gates.

That was my rig you did the fitting for on the drive shaft. That thing is far from Ghetto though! Two slip joints on both sides, that thing is heavy duty! As soon as I could hold that hot *** diveshaft I put it in my rig and hit Hell and Back to give it a proper test. It held up great! This morning we hit the comp area and after four or five times up some of the rock faces I broke the rear output on my T-case.
