looks like a one day event so sounds like no camping. if I were closer I'd definitely try getting some buddies to go even tho I don't have my rig yet.

Post is actually about 40 miles southeast of Lubbock on HWY 84. It is $25/rig. The one meal ticket covers the driver, and additional meal tickets are by donation. Additional raffle tickets will be available.

Right, it is a one day event. To my knowledge there will not be any camping at the ranch as it's private land, but there will be plenty of parking during the day. There is a facility (public park) in town that has hookups I believe. I'll call down tomorrow and check on this for anyone that might need a place to layover. Also, Lake Alan Henry is a little further to the south and camping is available there as well.

It would be great if some of the Amarillo guys came down for the day. It should be a good day of wheeling. I am looking forward to it.

all the money made on this run goes to a good cause. There is some great wheeling for all. Bone stock 4x4's as well as fully built bad boys. we will be giving away some prizes at lunch. every one is welcome

We will probably get wheeling around 9-10 maybe. We usually meet a the McDonalds in Post from 8-8:30 then get started around 9. I figure it will be about the same for this trip. I don't have exact direction but it is on the south side of Post a couple of miles. I think there will be a sign showing where to turn. As for lunch I think it will be BBQ brisket and maybe ribs. It was very good last year. Just let me know if you have any more questions and I will get answers.

I talked to someone about directions and he said that they want everyone to meet at McDonalds. If you can't make it just call one of the numbers on the flier or myself and we will give you directions. My number is 806-239-1643.

does the run start right at 9am, or is that the time you plan to head out to the wheelin? I have myself plus a couple of others, but we probably can't get on the hiway till 8:30 or 9am and it will take us an hour+45 minutes to get to Post, then however long to the spot where the run is at.....maybe some directions for us to just meet up with you guys at the spot?...

EZ, I believe we will have a large sign on the highway at the turnoff once you come south past Post. If not, I'll make one myself. Cell phone service is spotty through the area, but it's my understanding that someone will be at the top of the hill until well after lunch. If anyone can't meet you at the McD's, we'll figure out a way to get everyone out there!

Goochie, the heavy Dodge is a definite yes. Members went out and marked trails this past weekend ranging from novice through overbuilt truggy. We'll have 3 loosely organized "groups" to try and give everyone the best wheeling experience possible, tailored to your vehicle and it's capabilities. I'll defer to the other members about the ATVs.

I believe ATVs are a no go. Someone asked about bringing one out a while back and they said no.

The land owner has said no on ATV's. We will be getting started by 9:30 or 10 I would say maybe before. It just depends on how long it takes to get everyone ready. If you guys are going to be late I think the two numbers on the flier work out there. If you want directions give me a call before you head out and I will see what I can do. The ranch is only about 5 min south of Post if that.

Oh and about the Dodge, you can bring it out but there but it is so much heavier than all the other rigs we may have trouble recovering it if you were to stick it. Just a thought.

That was just something to think about. I'm sure it will dominate the baby trails.
