Satan's 1 Yr Anniversary Run

I don't have time to feel you in on all the details (tired). Other then I had a great time

Thanks to Midnight crawler and anyone else that helped me out Fiday night. MudAholic for the tow back to camp. Sorry for hold everyone one up.

Poker Run was nice. I could of had 4 of the 5 cards....just that my trucked died about 20 feet from the top on the last obstacle (hill climb). Jorge broke some studs on the bowl that I took the by-pass..I did try.
I missed the redneck comp course because I was in town picking up a alternator. I didn't race because of them rules...but that okay I was out getting parts anyway. I heard Bowtie took first place taking it away from BJ who was sitting purdy with the time to beat. Bowtie did break his tranny in the process.
Saturday's trail ride was sweet. I have a few scares and a dented up rear Drive shaft...but BJ busted his rear drive shaft beyond repair. We headed back to camp while everyone else crawled on.

Dinner was great Saturday night. Satan's Playground was the place to be at this weekend. Midnight 4Wheelers and Texas4x4 put up some great raffle stuff. I walked away with a set of Metric wrench set.
My Best friend John (Razorback) may be hooked now. He had a great time. He liked Bowties,Mudaholic,& Ch.Mike Rig the best.
Best of show-----OFF---------- had to go to Mudaholic. He laid some rubber down on the trail ride.
Sunday was breakfast done by John and I. The mood was pack it up and go home.
I am beat...but home.
So that is or was in short my weekend.
Thanks again to all that helped me get back to camp Friday night....S.A.K.5 thanks form your help and use of your genarator.
Mike
Thanks to John L. for being my support driver and helping me out in more ways then one.

I have Video not pictures.

Had a great time. I got a few pics, click the link to check em out..

Many thanks to Snick & JFRaymond for getting SPORV up and going and allowing us to come play and have fun. SPORV is a kickass place for sure.

Congrats to River Rat on winning the Poker Run, and Bowtie for winning the Comp. Had 5 entrants for the comp, (running order) Chaparro Mike, Lynnes Toy, Midnight Crawler, BigJimmysrock and Bowtie. Midnight Crawler DNF due to a PS pulley, Bowtie finished but lost his tranny.

The Poker Run started at dark on friday night with 12 rigs. Almeraz DNF'd at the 2nd obstacle with broken bolts in his PS steering arm. SAK5 stayed back to help him with everyone else finished the run. Mnmstoy had electrical gremlins at the last obstacle and had to take the strap back to camp. Once everyone had finished several went back out to help SAK5 and Almeraz get his jeep back together.

Saturday AM we had a great breakfast prepared by MsHollwood, then the drivers meeting and Comp. Snick did a great job laying out the comp course. It was very tough but doable and all spectators were able to sit in one spot and see the entire comp. (pretty much) Kudos for Almeraz and Chaparro Mike for spotting the drivers thru the course. They did a great job and can run really fast..

After the comp Some of the guys spent some time playing in the playground \ rock garden then we broke for lunch and then hit the trails running "Hello Nasty" which lived up to it's name. Bigjimmysrock pretzeled his rear driveshaft, Hollywood had a frt. driveshaft separate in addition to all the sheetmetal adjustments on the rigs. around 4:30 or 5 some of us headed back to camp to start getting dinner ready while the others finished out the run.

Modify had another group and they ran Jeep thrills and one other trail I think.. He'll have to tell their part.

Saturday Dinner was Brisket, beans, Pico de Gallo, Potatoes and chips along with our favorite beverages.. special thanks to SillyGirl and Silver Girl for tending the fire all day.. the Brisket was awesome!

We had a great raffle after dinner Sat night with several getting some awesome prizes.. There were donations from SPORV, Midnight Fourwheelers, Texas4x4.org, Wasteland War.com and 4 Wheel Parts of San Antonio. Thanks to all for the great prizes.. Esp the bottle opener

After everything was finished and put up from the dinner and raffle and a driveshaft made for BJ, several went out for a night run.. River Rat lost afrt drivershaft yoke but Mudaholic had a spare so they kept on wheeling..

Sunday AM we had another great breakfast by Mnmstoy and then we all packed up and headed back home.

Carnage list as I know of...

BJ - Tie Rod and Driveshaft
Almeraz - Steering Arm
Mnmstoy - Electrical
Sam - Alternator
River Rat - Driveshaft Yoke
Bowtie - Transmission
RVreddog - Tranny plug
MsHollywood - frt driveshaft yoke
Blazer Killer - 44's are now 42's
If I missed somebody post up.

After reading Rastus post...>The trail was called Hello Nasty.
It is a great trail. My little Toyota was taking a beating. I wish I had my camcorder out when Midnight crawler and Lynne hit a obstacle that BIGJIMMYROCK busted is rear drive shaft on. That was wild. Richard had that drive front drive tire in the air at least 10' in the air. It nosed over really fast and when into a huge hole. I'm sure that was a great Adrenalin rush from the drive seat and Lynne riding shotgun. They did make along with everyone else that had wide axles. Hollywood tried in his Toyota but that hole was just to big. I took the line way left of that.
Warhorse moved on to the next one. and I was second in line. Looking at that ledge that had to be taller then me and a undercut that was bad. I opt to go right where the ledge was more smaller. I tried a few different line but nothing. not being locked up front was hurting and the break over angle was to steep for me. Jorge, Richard, and John stacked some rocks. after a few tries RVREDDOG bought out the strap. Dang, I was thinking not again. while the strap was on but still had a lot of slack I tried one more time. I made it but I did manage to beat up my rear drive shaft purdy good.
That is when I brought out my cam. to film the rest because that ledge on the right was going to be challenging.
Although, just about everyone made it Minus BJ with FWD only. And I took the line way right of that.
Mudacholic put on a great show getting over it. Their was a water hole on top that after getting your front tires up. The water was making it hard for the left front tire to grip. Well, Mudaholic got his front tires up and on top. A little high centered...beleave that.....them tires are huge. He started on the skinny pedal. The smell of burnt rubber was in the air. I don't recall how long he was on the pedal but it seem to be forever. That water hole was all burnt up by then. His rear bogger was digging on the side of the hill sling dirt all over. Still on the gas trying to look for traction. A few times his right front was in the air about a foot or so. Right rear seem to just about get over the under cut and he would slip right back in. Hammer down!!! dang he almost made it and he slip right back in. From the sound of the engine he wasn't letting off anytime soon. By then everyone was standing clear of him. He had them Big tires g. Front tires laying rubber down. swing back to the left...front tires finally grabbed along with the rear. He made it up on top!!!!
a few seconds later I heard that them front tires belong to Delta. She went over and grabbed a hand full of rubber that was on the ground. WOW!!! That was a show. My friend (Raszorback) was enjoying every minute of it.
I have my DVR stored away somewhere. Maybe Rastus can take my cam and upload it.
I had a electrical gremlin. Thinking it was the alt. John drove me back into Del Rio to change that out early Saturday morning. We also looked for studs for Jorge's steering arm. We did the trail ride Saturday. Again that gremlin came back for a midnight run Saturday night. We didn't make that run. lights where low and didn't want to be towed back to camp. we stayed behind to look for that sucker. I found it....damn fuse able link next to the battery. SAK5 loaned us his wire splicer kit he won in the raffle. That helped out and was ready to wheel Sunday...50/50 chance.
All in all I had a blast. Poker run was nice. Dang the whole time we were their was nice.
I did get a blow out on my trailer on the way to SPOV. Just before the trip I looked into my surge brake on the trailer....Bone dry no fluid. So, I was going with no brakes. add a few more gray hairs. The ride back home we ran into light rain. a few more gray hairs. A few miles from home coming down General McMullen I manage to slide Thur a red light. A few more gray hair. I finally pulled into my Drive way truck first. I was done. Kissed my wife with a big hug. They rest is history.

The second group ran the quickie, jeep thrills, safo, pete's surprise and a little bit of paul bunyon before deciding it was time to turn back and head to camp. We had a great time and we had someone that was wheeling there new TJ with <1000 miles, I think he is hooked. We had two rubi's, a TJ, an old 2A and Jim's YJ wheeled by Sam, and myself in our group. We had a great time. I did not get any pictures. I am glad everyone had fun. Thanks to everyone for coming out this event was a blast.

just want to say that I had a great time, like alwalys. the unity helping each other is what makes our club enjoyable, want to also give thanks to everyone for everything, food, help, shower, and the company of everyone there. also for hollywood spotting me thru the course with his sandles, had an awesome time and can't wait to go back.
