Nice pics everyone!! Did anyone by chance see the silver suburban with a blue roll cage on 44's or the green blazer with a orange roll cage on 46's and 2.5 ton rocks? They are both buddies of mine from here and I talked to the guy with the green blazer and he said they had a good time and tore up some stuff. THe blazer broke another rear 2.5 ton axle.

It did awesome. Only had a few minor issues. The ujoint straps on the rear t-case yoke came loose and caused me to loose the joint caps, and then the shaft. I also broke the hyrdaulic steering fitting on one of the ram hoses twice, still not sure if it was overstretching or if the tire hit it.

Once again we had a kickass time at the Texas4x4.org Summer Run IV.

94 rigs showed up to wheel this weekend

Thanks to our Vendors for the awesome prizes given away at the Raffle Sat. night.
Satans Playground
Shrockworks
Midnight Fourwheelers
Four Wheel Parts of SA
Lynnes Learning Loft
Ultimate Jeep
Copperhead Fab
Quality Remodel
Earl

We arrived Fri night about 9 pm, got camp setup and did some visiting till midnight or so.

Sat morning dawned with with nice temps and a good breeze. Had the drivers meeting and RVreddog, 4x4freak, BigJimmysrock, Snick, jfraymond, Mr Raymond, Sillygirl and I hit the trails headed for backbraker. I saw a offshoot and headed for that first thing, not sure what trail it was, I heard wine and cheese and looney tunes, whatever it was, sure was fun.

I was first up and went thru pretty easy,

then Bj,

followed by Mr Raymond

then RVreddog.

and 4x4freak

Mr Raymond lost a inner bead and broke his rear axle and had to limp back to camp, Reddog made it all the way thru and found a split brake line on his left front. Snick had a spare and we got it swapped out and waited jfr to come back with Mr. Raymond, while we were waiting we went up a lil ways and played around some.

jfr and Mr Raymond caught back up and we headed for backbreaker, got into backbreaker and the steering ram on jfrs WarHorse let go at both ends. borrowed a portable from Bobby and Midnightcrawler welded it up for him and he and Snick took the Warhorse back to camp.

We headed on up to the top, met up with Lynnes Toy, Midnight Crawler, River Rat, Jorge, Tx_Zuki, Hardline and Bobby and the rest of thier group. Once everybody was up we took off to finish Backbreaker. After we finished Backbreaker, I headed back to camp to drop off Sillygirl. I picked up jfr and Snick picked up his Dad,, we headed back out to find the group and met them at the bottom of looney tunes, We all went thru and had a awesome time doing it. River Rat videoed it and there are a lot of pics of the trail, only carnage to speak of was a busted u-joint on Reddogs Blazer when he was @ the top. Very nice tight and twisty trail, lots of fun.

We finished out this trail and headed for Bronco Alley and Waterfall. 4x4freak had a U-joint drop out on flat rock, ( Not sure how ya do that??? ) So we stopped @ Bronco alley entrance while they got the u-joint fixed, Once everyone was mobile again the group split up and some did Bronco alley and the rest of us headed back for camp via the waterfall trail. We got up on top and saw a traffic jam of hummers @ the waterfall V-notch, so we ran it backwards to the entrance, BJ ran out of fuel again and had to leave his rig on the rocks, 4x4freak took him back out to get it later and they ran the waterfall trail.

Meanwhile back @ Camp, Sillygirl and I started setting up for the raffle, visiting and enjoying the evening. the raffle was a lot of fun and lots of folks won some really cool items. After the Raffle was over We had dinner with Snick and family, visited a while and then crashed. thanks again for the fine dinner Snick

Big thanks to River Rat and Snick for the help doing the Raffle

Sunday AM I woke up early... got up and start moving around some, a few clouds were floating around and we had 2-3 sprinkles. Once everybody was up and moving we broke camp and then headed to the comp area where I had a date with my nemesis from last October.

Last October

today

After I was up, Reddog came up,

then 4x4freak tried and was denied,

then BJ came thru

followed by Wes.

Wes got a lil tipsy and we put a strap on his pass side to hold him down and then he walked right on up. One other guy in a Bronco tried and was denied. After this obstacle Wes, 4x4freak and BJ all made their attempts at the wall,

4x4freak and BJ both made it up, Wes front driveshaft separated on him and after another attempt, he back off. We then headed back to camp, loaded up and headed for home.

Thanks to everyone who came out and wheeled, Sillygirl and I hope that each and everyone of you all had a great time and we look forward to seeing you all again next year at Summer Run V.

Rastus and Sillygirl
