FRIDAY
I left San Antonio about noon on Friday. Arrived at Trees Ranch checked in and got camp setup. We had a Friday evening run and went on the Bowls Creek where GQ91Sammy broke both driveshafts. Then we went to Greg's Hill. Some had a bit of trouble there, lots of winching and Mudaholic lost a driveshaft. We got back well after dark towing the rigs back to camp. Got GQ91Sammy's driveshafts welded up at the barn and installed that night. Thanks to Chaparro Mike for the welding and the Tree's family for loaning the .

SATURDAY
We had the drivers meeting then hit the trails about 10am.
First trail was Vaca Muerta, fairly east creek trail for warmup.
Hangover Hill was next. Don't remember all the carnage but there was a red Jeep that lost the RR axle shaft. SAK5 broke a rear welded 14B carrier. I think GQ91Sammy broke the RR axle shaft also.
Time for lunch after we got down the hill.
Turkey Run was next. Everybody did fine until we got to the end of the trail. There were sone tall undercut ledges that stopped everybody regardless of wheelbase.
Chaparro Mike put on a show with some good wheelies while attacking the ledges. Unfortunately he ended up rolling over. All was good though, seat belts held him in place and with a group effort he was back on the trail again. Mudaholic broke a D60 front pinion shaft somewhere along the trail.
After leaving Turkey Run, we went to Branch to Heaven, Cork Screw, and to Gate 2. Electricbob was there working on a wheel spacer. We ran a loop that consisted of Managers Special, Grapes of Wrath and Beaver Dam to wrap up the day. Headed back to camp earlier than Friday.
Back at camp we ate and had a raffle. Anybody want a koozie?

Had a good trip. no carnage on my rig, fortunately. I left Sunday morning at about 10am and headed back to San Antonio.

My video camera mysteriously died recently which I also used for still pics. I don't have any pics to post but there were plenty of cameras around, I'm sure there will be some pics surfacing soon.

Yeah, this gives you the idea how tall the ledge is at Turkey Run. The ledge the Jeep is sitting on is the first one about the length of most rigs. It looks like only very short wheelbase rigs will do good here.

Trees Ranch

Well Friday I got there just in time to wheel with the Midnighters. This was my first time out in the new Toyota. I was pleased with how it wheeled. I beat on it harder each day, and it came home with only a broke shock mount. I got to wheel with the Corpus crew on Saturday and Sunday. The Toyota made some of the trails with ease and others needed all of the 40hp I had on tap. I don't see myself going back to a fullsize. I don't think anybody got any pics in my group though. Can't wait for Consafo Ranch.

Had a great time wheeling, it had been tooooo long since we had been!
Thanks to the spotters, Bobby & Mike! Thanks to Jeff and Caroline for the use of their shower, Thanks to all for the memories!!!

My apologies to Reddog for letting Managers Special kick me. After all the work to keep Rocky looking good for me, I took out the windshield, the drivers door handle and added alot of bumps and brusies to the body. No excuse, just driver error. NEED TO WHEEL MORE OFTEN!

thats 90k5 i believe. We will have quite a few pics of our group, just need to get them all loaded. Had a little carnage d44 front with both shafts broke, blown c4, torn to **** TSL and 1 busted u joint. Other than that all good. We made an attempt at I scream sunday yesterday with no luck and widow maker, we made the left side no problem but couldnt get the right side (not for lack of effort), hopefully we can get all the pics and videos up soon. Now its time to build my chit, I'm ready to wheel my own rig!!!
