XRRA race 6-20/21

Thought I'd share the demise of my buggy with ya'll.

Well good news is Saturday I didn't kill/maim myself or Doyle, even after trying to do so twice in one day.

Yeah Spyderlocks. I swear I was gonna pull out of that endo, this might have something to do with it though.

And I think this pic pretty much sums up Sunday.

9th place, first time in a single seater, drove the Lil Bastard about 3 mins before the race and just happened to be first off the line for the day. Big thanks to my good friends the Carnage Crew for helping out all weekend and loaning me their '08 XRRA series championship rig. Weekend of highs and lows for sure.

I still need to take some pics of the carnage to my rig and I'll post 'em up. All in all I'm not upset that the chassis is toast, it did what it was designed to do, didn't crush or cave in like alot I've seen, took the hits, kept us safe and we walked away...... Twice.

Here's a cool little article about the weekend also. CLICKY

Even watching the big loader bringing my mangled buggy back to the pits we both had big smiles on our faces. Hell after the 2nd end over end we landed back on the wheels, fired her back up and finished the run. Even when destroying stuff it's still fun, in a twisted sort of way I guess.

Well, Dayum... Snick had told me you decided it was time for a new chassis... but he did'nt say what method you were going to use to get rid of the old one..

Glad you're ok man.. What made the rear kick up like that when you endo'ed? the jump or did you let off and hit it again?

Ha, yea, only one problem.... Can't get any tires worth a damn in a 16.5.

Yea cage did great, was a hard hit second time, nothing crushed, caved or otherwise, load transfered through and sure some of the tubes bent but I wouldn't expect it not to.

It's obama hood bling. [email protected] man keep up here.

There is another thread around here that clearly points out that if you have over a 16.5" rim size you have watched "boyz in da hood" one to many times!

Unfortunately I didn't have the onboard cam running, forgot to charge the battery up Friday night.

Few sore muscles, couple bruises but other than that we're both fine. Says alot about the rigs and the safety equipment put into them. I've seen cars take less of a fall and have cages colapse, sure makes all the work worth it when you can say, "I just rolled my rig end over end twice in 1 day, still runs and drives, and I walked away both times."
