Yet again another run at Clayton

We planned yet again another run at Clayton to shake down a few new rigs. One of them being the Patriot buggy and the other one was Bruiser's new rig.

We kinda got a late start on Friday so it was just Bruiser, My Brother in law, buddy from Texarkna in Shrek and me in my junk mobile. We didn't realy want to tear up Bruiser's new rig so we took it easy the first day. We ran down Wet n Wild and then turned on Jeff's Ledges. For some Stupid reason I took the hardest line on Jeff's ledges and had to work on it pretty hard to get the Zuki up the slick climb. Not to be overdone Brusier lined his rig up and gave it HELL!!! He was wipping those little mice hard he had under the hood but it paid off after a few minutes of beating on them. Sorry Eric, it got too dark for any pics that day.

Everyone in the group ended up taking the hard line and making it work. It got dark on us fast so we just set around shooting the bull for a while before we headed back to camp.

Sat, we met up with the rest of the group and headed to Geen Momba. The big waterfall at the begining took it's first victim. The output shaft on Bruiser's rig decided it had enough. Everyone else ended up making it up and moved on to the Ext. At the third hard climb on the Ext. Jonas broke a front hub and the other green Zuki (Shrek) broke a rear axle which ended their day as well.

Once we got done with the Ext. it started raining hard so we headed over and hit Water Fall , BlackSheep Blvd. and Cake wake. Besides the broken rigs and rain we had a great time.

I'd invite some of you weenies up to do some real rock crawlin but I know that's just a waste of time.

You need to come up here and show me how to put them on correctly then, I knew it was somethin else besides that rear output shaft that kept me from making it up that little waterfall.

Monster I had a blast even though it was only 2.5 trails worth. I will definitely be back again soon. I also need to get some paint on my rig, my junk looks like it came from the sanford and son junkyard compared to the other ones.

I'd do that to James and tell him that you did it just so that I could see him punch some holes in your face.

I think the Ftoy would be right at home in Clayton.

Well, after almost 2 years of wheelin my rig, I broke it for only the second time. Not too bad of an average. I sheerd off all 6 studs that hold the lock-out hub on and also the 2 dowl pins. The new longfeild drive flanges, and arp stud kit should be here wednesday. Even though I broke early on, it was still a blast!

Great pics. Everytime I see pics from here, it makes me want to go that much more. New axle shafts arrived today, so Buster will be back up and ready to go after this weekend. Now to get three more trailer tires... We are planning on going to Clayton pretty soon, just not sure when. We are going to Gilmer Memorial weekend.

Just the old xj that Ive and for the last couple of years. It seems to be the old standby for hauling people and always running with minimal effort. plus it fun to just beat on

You can camp out across the road from where you pay pulling into the park. It's just a cleared spot right off the road on the right. There is no power or water but at least it's free. You just have to be sure to haul off all your trash.

Or you could stay at the A&A down town for 45 bucks a night. I'm a puss and have to have runing water and AC at night.
