Having fun in the tow rig!!!!!

I took my truck up to San Antonio Raceway back in October and shot some video. This was my VERY FIRST time i've set foot on the track....I know my truck is capable of faster times but I had a non-boosted launch in 2wd each time. Sorry for the video quality, It was recorded with a HD Camera but had to be compressed down because the file size was huge. Enjoy!!!

BTW: My first two kills were a Powerstroke and a Cummins. WOOOHOOO

Put it on MUTE if you don't like the music.

that's freakin' sweet. I can imagine what a 4wd boosted launch woulda done for you. My d-max has a 1-1 record so far...got spanked by a modified cummins. lol.

That night I ran 5 times. Two of the runs was 16.0, two were 16.1 and the other was 16.2( spun off the line).

I tried a boosted 2wd launch and all i did was spin.......and these trucks wheel hop really bad. Another reason I didn't do a boosted 4wd is because i didn't wanna break anything and be stuck at the track 200 miles from home. Sleeves and gauges are next in line.......yesterday i put on my blockerplate and fingerstick.

Hey Prime did you ever get your gauges installed?

my buddy has a dodge with over 200k that ran 11.21... he blew that motor and is building a new even more tricked 5.9 cummins that he is going to spray. should get him in the low 10's high 9's. driven to and from the track, crazy what a diesel will do with enough fuel...

Sweet! I have never had mine on the track, but being a 6spd, it wouldn't fare too well. I am guessing I'd be in the 17's hitting all gears right. I think the factory clutch is about to go as well. I feel it chattering, but I don't know that is because it sets for a couple weeks at a time or just wearing out.

I need to get down to that track just to check it out. I do plan to be out there for PINKS in March.

I took my tow rig to the drag strip one time too. Mine is a '05 dodge ram 2wd CTD. All I had was straight pipe exhaust and a $300 programmer and ran a 14.2 was my fastest time spinning off the line.
