Texas Rock Crawlers- Clayton 4-08

CRAWL Magazine rode with a club from the Dallas area called the Texas Rock Crawlers and shot this video of the ride. Many of the club's members are also members on this board. On this weekend the water was a little high, but many will say that is the best time to go up to Clayton. Most of the club's rigs are highly modified. Go big or go home comes to mind when I think about this group, but they also have some smaller rigs in the group that love to give it hell.
The video also shows how nice Clayton, OK is. This weekend the streams are full and all the little water falls are flowing. Lots of trees around to shade you from the sun or to hook a winch to. With this video being 73 minutes you can get a good look of the place, but like any video, you will not know just how good it is until you make the trip. While watching the Video I only counted 5 trails- Wet-n-Wild, Jeff's Ledges, Green Mamba, Walk in the Park, and Black Sheep. These are all trails at the front of the park, but Green Acres has many more trails to drive also, and Clayton, OK has more than one Park to chose from. Sad to say, but it looks like some land guys just got the place some people call the Old Trails (Three Stage and others).

Enjoy!

The land guys that bought the three stage area bought it for the wood off of it. There are a group of people working with the new owners to try to get something set up to still be able to wheel there. JJ
