2 Lock out hub retainer snaprings.

I guess that is what you would call them. Dana 44 They are the big ring that is about 3 inches in diameter and is about the thickness of a coathanger. I had decided to run the drive flanges in my front axle for 1 because they were stronger and 2 because the hubs I have were missing these rings. Well after last weekend drive flanges are not an option. I will keep them in the parts box for a backup but that is it. Thanks JJ

why dont you like the drive flanges? I love mine. Ran them on the zuk on several trips and twice on the blazer so far.

I might have those rings, let me check and see. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Well a couple reasons actually. 1 It makes it easier to turn into my shop in the yard with the hubs free. 2 Sucks to drive 30 to 40 miles on the street over a long weekend with my setup to and from the trail and camp. When you have the drive flanges, front, and rear spools. 3 when you blow apart the front axle on the trail like I did this weekend you can just unlock the hub versus trying to get the drive flange out when you are 98 percent drunk and working really hard on catching the other 2 percent!
