I have a fully functional 700r4/NP241 combo (with converter) that came out of a wrecked 89 suburban with 55,000 original miles on it. I sent you a PM about a t-case you have listed, maybe we can work something out.

Swap out that 208 as soon as you can find a 205 to match that 350. They're hard to find for a 350, but they're out there and worth the swap.

you cant just swap a 205 in place of a 208, different length output shaft. the 208 is about 2" longer.

Nothing wrong with a 208 anyways, Keep the case from getting hit and you are good. Most damage on these is from broken cases due to impact, not from damaged internals. The 2.62 low range is nice to have compared to the 1.96 of the 205, also it is ALOT less stress on the tranny case from only having to support a 65 lb case vs. a 200 lb 205. Too many people want to dog the 208, when it is not a bad case in reality.

The worst part of the 208 is it is chain driven. That's its biggest downfall.

Automatic transmissions are gay.
