Good running 6.2L diesel

I got a buddy that is looking for a good running 6.2L diesel for his pickup. I don't know if year/tranny or anything matters on these things as I have never messed with the old diesels. Anyway it is an 83 or so 3/4 ton with an SM465 behind it. I figured somebody on here had on of these boat anchors that they swapped out for a gas burner so I told him I would post up. Needs to be a running motor. The accesories don't matter too much cause he has a diesel in it already.

Thanks

THumper, I have a good running diesel in a 86 suburban that I might part with. Do you have a good runnung gas burner that we could trade for? Email me at [email protected] or pm me here.

Another for j20m715... I asked him about the M1008's and he said he didn't have any with axles left ... so I am betting he has a couple engines..
