I have used these manifolds and they work great. They are made to fit either style head,TBI or early SBC.For $119.00 you cant beat it.

Thats way cheaper than Summit or Jegs for a new GM one that will only work for the TBI. They want $259.

Thanks for the heads up.

You can use a early style intake I have elongated the holes before. I have seen tapered spacers for the bolts.

Yeah, what he said. All you ned to do is "oval" the center 4 holes. The outter 8 holes are the same as old SBC. Run washers on your bolts if you use an aluminum intake. I've done it many times, I love the TBI heads.

I ovaled the holes on my Edelbrock intake when I changed to GMPP heads. They had the old style intake pattern, and it was a HUGE P.I.T.A.It may have been due to the design of the Edelbrock TBI manifold, but I didnt have room for standard bolts.I had to use header bolts with a 7/16 head just to get a wrench on them.Even then the bolts would hit the intake long before they tried to start threading.I had to hold the intake up while I started the bolts to keep them from hitting. If I had not already had the TBI intake,I would have bought the intake I linked.I learned my lesson and have since installed several of those manifolds on customer vehicles.Saves me about 3 hours of screwing around.

Actually it was a TBI intake. The process is the same no matter what your trying to.TBI to early heads,or late heads to old intake.

OK guys. We all get the point. Thanks for all the help.
I know what can and cant be done. All I know is this thread has got off topic.

Still need an intake that will bolt to TBI heads and will accept a 4 barrel carb. They are available. Trying to find a used one first.

Because tbi's are the size of 2 barrel carbs. E-bay is your best luck. Search under the auto or boats.

Edelbrock sell them new. I know you want one used.
