Need an extension cord

Looking for an extension cord for my 220V MIG . I guess it needs to be like 6/3 or 8/3 and flexible. 20 or 25 foot would be perfect. Lemme know if you got anything. Does not need to have ends on it I got them.

hope depot would have what ya need or any hardware store worth their salt.

Use wires that can handel the voltage and amp, and put the plugs on the end.

plus it might be cheap then going to another town to pick it up and finding out that it is messed up from being stored too long.

It looks like a large extension cord. Copper strands in each wire. I had 100' of it that I put ends on and used it to power lights in an out building once. I'd plug it in if I went out there and unplug it when I was done. I'm using about 70' now to run out to my work area. I put the rest up in the storage building when I cut what I needed off. I've got a long day tomorrow but maybe I can look for/at it Thurs night. I'll let you know.

Sounds like it will work. I was just wondering how stiff it was basically so it don't like knock over everything in the shop when I string it out! Let me know, I can probably pick it up Saturday AM if you can get to it by then. Whatcha think you want for it??

I don't remember what I paid for it. It was used when I got it and I rolled and unrolled it many times. It seems to be just a little stiffer that my welding leads.

Its about $1.89 ft new I think at home depot.

SO 12/3 is what I used on my plasma and I love it.

But I used the stiff stuff 8/3 on my and hate it.

I bought 40 ft some 12 gage stuff to use with my , but Mark told me that was to small being that long. I cut 6 ft off the other day to run the house on untill we get the elec. hood from the power company. I would think that only 25ft it would be big enough. Old Goat or redneckmotorsports could do the math and make sure though.

I got a buddy supposed to bring me a 30' piece of SO cord that was the main power line under a mobile home. We will see if it is what he says it is........more often than not it isn't!
