WTB - small 4x4 for deer lease

I am about to be in the market for a small to mid-sized 4x4 vehicle for a deer lease.

Some trucks/SUVs I want to consider would be:
Jeeps (no Cherokees)
Toyota 4Runner and SR5 pickups
Ford Bronco II
Chevy Blazer (small one)
Ford Ranger

MUST be 4x4 and MUST be dependable. I don't do engine work or transmission work. The 4x4 MUST work. I don't care about A/C, interior, rust, dents, or much else other than the drivetrain MUST be in good, dependable, working order.

Price range - please be realistic - This will be a 4x4 that gets used in the woods 3-5 times per year totally off-road. I'm not looking for a $300 truck, but I'm not going to spend $3000 either. Let's talk about price after you tell me what you have.

if you get a 4 door make sure the rear windows roll all the way down so rear riders can shot ... or remove the doors ... I learned the hard way

www.carsoup.com has a ford bronco II for 1200.00 needs a windshield that is busted up. Look under bargain section 1-1500 price range. It was for $600. but I think they did the brakes on it so they bumped up the price.
I hope that helps some.

I could be interested in that. It looks like a TANK that would serve me well as a deer lease truck. Does the top come off? What does it need to be reliable? Does the 4x4 work?

Any pics you can post? I just moved to Devine and need a small truck for the ranch and back and forth to work, 50 min each way. Doesn't have to look good just has to be reliable. My Jeep's takin' a beetin' and so is my bladder.
