I'm not sure if the rotors will work with the brake setup. It has the Ford dual piston calipers on it. Not sure if they are stock rotors or what... or how the calipers were adapted to a Chevy 60.

I recently tried to find some for quite a while before braking down and buying the aftermarket ones off eBay for $250 each. They seem to be nice pieces though. First time in a long Time I've had wheel bearing races that fit that well. Good luck!

Yeah, but I'm at work and can't access Photobucket.

Been talking with Fourwheeler Jeff and it looks like its a Dodge housing possibly with Ford knuckles/spindles/outers.

Search user on photobucket for Aggieboy151, there are pictures in there. Although I'm kind of doubting its a dodge housing because it was in a Blazer, and the spring perches are wider on the dodge axle.

That is a GM housing. Looks like GM knuckles too, but not 100% sure. Those are definately Ford hubs and brakes. Don't know if Ford spindles can bolt straight on to GM/Dodge knuckles.

Spindles won't bolt up without changing the bolt pattern..Chevy is 6 bolts Fords are 5, the bolt pattern on the Chevy is not symmetrical..

I'm wondering if maybe its Chevy knuckles, ford spindles that have the pattern drilled in them, then either the shorter Ford stub shafts (most likely), or chevy stubs that have been cut down.

I guess whats throwing me off is how the Ford Calipers are on there. I know how to tell the difference between knuckles, but don't have any good pictures and the axle is 150 miles away right now.

Too much money and hassle in finding spindles/bearings/rotors/brakes/calipers. If they are chevy knuckles, I'll be plenty happy as they are the stronger out of the 3. If they are Ford, oh well... they should hold up to low steer... If and when I go to true high steer, I'll probably buy a set of Reid Racing knuckles anyways to keep from breaking them at the top kingpin

Look at the studs on the passenger spring pad. 9/16= dodge 5/8 = Chevy. Also, on the dodge the studs are in line with the diff cover bolts, on the Chevy they are off to the side of the cover bolts.

100% chevy housing. if ford spindle on chev knuckle, I hope its indexed, or it will be a weak point. Also, you should be able to use flat caliper stands and chev 3/4 calipers & rotors if you want to run 15in wheels or just want 3/4 brakes. No need for bent brackets.

My poor/wrong choice of word, indexed. But, what I should have explained is the spindle must have a slight press fit into the knuckle, or the spindle studs bear the full load. Thats the way its supposed to work anyhow. Not sure if a ford and chevy spindle are identical in that area. Its been discussed on pirate before. I cant tell you of anyfailures, might not be any. Myself, I would be leary. I would liketo know what spindle is used tho. Ive considered using ford spindles just because chevy hubs are outragously expensive in comparison to ford, and a ford hub can be easily redrilled to 6 or 5 lug.
